This policy explains how information is handled on AutoCake.com and AutoCake.si. Last updated: 24 October 2026.
Who is responsible and how to contact us
The AutoCake team operating this website is responsible for the information described in this policy. For privacy questions or requests, use our contact form and select “Privacy request”. We use the details you provide to respond and handle your request.
Information we receive
Contact messages: when you contact us, we receive your email address, the topic and content of your message, and any name or organization you choose to provide. Please do not include passwords, payment details, government identifiers, sensitive personal information, or confidential research.
Technical information: hosting and security providers may process IP addresses, request times, requested URLs, browser and device information, error records, and security signals through ordinary server logs and anti-abuse systems.
Optional analytics: when Google Analytics is configured and you choose to allow it, it may process cookie identifiers, page visits, browser and device information, and approximate geographic information. These records can be personal information even when they do not include your name. We do not send contact-form fields to Google Analytics.
Why we use information
We use contact information to answer inquiries and manage the resulting correspondence. Technical information supports website delivery, troubleshooting, fraud and spam prevention, and security. Optional analytics helps us understand how the website is used and improve its content.
Where a legal basis is required, we rely on consent for optional analytics; our legitimate interests in operating, securing, and responding through this website where permitted; steps you request before a potential agreement where relevant; and compliance with applicable legal obligations. A contact submission does not subscribe you to marketing.
Cookies and analytics choices
Optional Google Analytics is blocked until you select “Allow analytics”. You can decline and still browse or contact us. The site stores your preference in your browser so it can remember your choice. Use “Cookie settings” in the footer to change or withdraw it. A Global Privacy Control signal causes this implementation to keep optional analytics off.
If analytics has not yet been configured, no Google Analytics tag runs. When active, this implementation disables advertising signals and ad personalization, and sends page locations without query strings or fragments. Google Analytics 4 processes IP addresses during collection but does not log or store them as IP addresses. See Google’s privacy policy and how Google uses information from partner sites.
Hosting, form processing, and security providers may use technical measures needed to deliver and protect their services. Clearing browser storage can remove your saved preference.
Service providers and disclosures
We use Formspree to process contact submissions and hosting providers, including Cloudflare for the deployed public site, to deliver and protect the website. Google provides optional analytics when enabled. Service providers may process information to perform their services and meet their own security and legal obligations. Review Formspree’s privacy policy and Cloudflare’s privacy policy.
We do not sell personal information or use this website for targeted advertising. We may disclose information when legally required, to protect rights and security, or as part of a lawful transfer of the website or its operations, subject to applicable protections.
International processing
Our providers may process information in countries other than your own, including the United States, where privacy laws may differ. Where applicable law requires safeguards for a transfer, those safeguards must be in place, such as appropriate contractual protections or a recognized adequacy mechanism. Contact us for information about arrangements relevant to your request.
Retention and security
We retain correspondence for as long as needed to address the inquiry, manage the resulting relationship, and meet applicable legal or dispute-resolution requirements. Technical and analytics retention depends on the purpose and the relevant provider settings. We consider sensitivity, security needs, legal obligations, and whether information can be deleted or aggregated when deciding what to retain.
We use reasonable measures appropriate to the information and services involved. No internet transmission or storage system can be guaranteed completely secure. Please limit messages to information needed for your inquiry.
Your rights
Depending on where you live and which laws apply, you may have rights to access, correct, delete, or receive a copy of your personal information; restrict or object to processing; withdraw consent; and complain to a privacy regulator. Some US state laws also provide rights concerning sale, sharing, targeted advertising, and appeals. We will handle applicable requests without unlawful discrimination.
Use our contact form with the topic “Privacy request”, describe the request, and provide a way to reply. We may need proportionate verification before disclosing or changing information. If a request is declined, you may ask us to review it. Withdrawing consent does not affect the lawfulness of prior processing.
Children, other websites and changes
This website is intended for a general professional audience and is not directed to children under 16. We do not knowingly solicit personal information from children under 16. Contact us if you believe a child has submitted information so we can address it.
Linked websites have their own policies. We may update this policy to reflect changes in the website or applicable requirements, with the updated date shown above. Material changes will be brought to your attention where required.
